In early 2000 a boardwalk was constructed through the grove to allow public access. The boardwalk has been identified in the South Perth Foreshore Strategy and Management Plan (Node 6) as an area to be developed as a passive recreation space with an interpretive walk which offers users an experience of the sites history.
